Cleaning Questions
Q: How long does it take to clean my home?
A: In general, an average 3-bedroom/2 baths home will take a team of two maids about 1.5 - 2 hours to clean.

Q: What type of cleaning solutions do the maids use?
A: MoreHands maids only use professional cleaning products; typically that will include Clorox, Pinesol, professional wood floor cleaner, and tub and toilet cleaner.

Q: Do I need to provide supplies or will the teams bring them?
A: MoreHands maids will bring all of their own supplies and equipment.


Q: What won't MoreHands teams clean?
A: For health reasons, our teams will not clean blood, feces, vomit or urine.

Q: Can I have the teams clean with my own supplies? I have allergies and my floors need special cleaners.
A: Yes, we will be happy to clean with any special cleaner or solution you might need.

Q: Can I have the teams vacuum with my own equipment?
A: Yes, we will clean with your vacuum equipment but can not be responsible if your vacuum cleaner causes any damage. MoreHands can only be responsible for any damage our own equipment causes.

Q: How do I leave special instructions for the cleaning teams? Can I leave a note?
A: It is better to call the office at 479-7978 or email us your special instructions. You can leave any instructions you want but it's typically easier to allow us to communicate with the teams.

Q: Do I need to do anything special for a moveout clean?
A:We do need electricity and water to clean so please make sure your utilities are still functioning.

Billing & Pricing Questions
Q: I know MoreHands needs 24 hours notice to cancel my scheduled cleaning visit; what happens if I forget to let MoreHands know about my cancellation in time?
A: Its no problem, we will change our schedule to suit whatever you need. We will however charge a $20 dollar rescheduling fee for having to rebalance our teams' workloads with short notice.

Q: Can I “leave off” rooms that I do not want cleaned when I get my "regular service" price estimate. I have a 5-bedroom home but only want 2 bedrooms cleaned.
A: You must enter all of your bedrooms when getting a price estimate. Unfortunately, larger homes such as a 5-bedroom home require more time for cleaning. Even if our maids “skip” a couple of bedrooms, these homes are simply bigger everywhere. (bigger kitchen, bigger living rooms etc..)

Q: How do you charge my credit card? Do you charge it weekly or on the day of the service?
A: We charge all credit cards the day of the cleaning once all work is completed.

Q: Why is a “One-time only” cleaning more expensive than a “weekly” or “every two week” cleaning?
A: We like to offer discounted rates to our clients who want a “regularly scheduled visit” (weekly, bi-weekly, or every three weeks). We ask that clients get at least 3 visits to qualify for our discounted rates.

Q: If I sign up for a “regular scheduled visit” (weekly,bi-weekly, or every three weeks) but stop before I complete 3 visits am I penalized?
A: No, you are not “penalized” but you will be subject to our “once only” pricing which is usually about $40 to $50 more expensive. The reason for the pricing difference is that cleanings typically take more time on our first visit.

Q: I do not need all of the services included in a MoreHands cleaning visit but I do need some specific help with a couple areas of my home. What will my price be to clean this list items?
A: MoreHands maids will gladly work off of your cleaning list at our hourly rate charge. ($75 an hour with a 1.5-hour minimum).

Appointment Times Questions
Q: How do I request an appointment time?
A: In general, we do not set appointment times. Instead, we allow clients to set an earliest entry time. In other words, the housekeepers will not show up BEFORE this time so we are not in your way in the morning. Most clients set an earliest entry time of 8am or 9am. MoreHands will complete all work between your earliest entry time (???) and 5pm.

Q: I need to be home when the maids are cleaning. Is there no way possible to set an appointment time?
A: If it is very important to you to be home for the cleaning, please call the office at 479-7978. We can typically accommodate most requests.

"My Key" Questions
Q: How will the maids enter my home?
A: You are welcome to be home when we clean but most clients leave a key for us… During the online sign up process, you will be prompted to tell us - where to find your key and we return it when we are through cleaning - OR to keep your key which we store in our steel lock box - OR you can sign a key release in your apartment business office. Please remember to leave a key. If we are unable to enter homes or apartments, MoreHands will charge a $20 dollar lockout fee to cover the maids’ travel time.

Scheduling Questions
Q: Will the same team always come to my home to clean?
A: Yes, most of the time the same team will be cleaning your home. We try to keep teams in their own assigned neighborhoods. That said, heavy work schedules or illness might cause a different team to clean your home.

Q: I am interested in obtaining your services on a weekly basis. How does this work? If I choose “every week” service on Monday am I set up indefinitely?
A: Yes, after you make your selection for “frequency of visit” and “day of the week” you are automatically scheduled indefinitely or until you tell us to stop.

Q: How do I stop my service?
A: Email or call us. You can stop whenever you like.

Q: Can I change my day of cleaning after signing up? I usually want Mondays but I need to be cleaned on Tuesday this week
A: Yes, you can change your dates. We have very flexible scheduling and can typically accommodate all day changes.

Q: Does MoreHands always have “same” day service?
A: We try to always have same day service available (approximately 90% avail) but we if we sell out of we can usually get to you the following day.
